FIELD: english lock key.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an English lock key (16) containing a back surface (2), a first side surface (4) and a second side surface (4’), the side surfaces (4, 4’) extend vertically towards the back surface (2), the side surfaces (4, 4’) are located offset relative to each other by a constant distance (5) or a varying distance along its length, and the side surfaces (4, 4’) contain a section with sinusoidal profiling lines, while the key is made with a cross-section profile, in which the envelope of the cross-section profile (1) defines a rectangular nominal profile (6), axial the lines (8, 8’) of the profiling lines (7, 7’) lie inside the nominal profile (6), and pass at an angle α to the middle plane (22) of the nominal profile (6), lying in the range of about 5°, and linearly converge from the rear surface (2) along their length. A key (16) is also proposed, containing two longitudinally profiled, passing at least along the section along the profiling lines (7, 7’) and, as necessary, the variation lines (9, 9’) of the profile (1) of the cross section, the lateral surfaces of the key, the back surface of the key and, if necessary, the coded end surface of the key. A cylinder lock with a well and a locking device for the specified key are also offered.

EFFECT: invention enables to create an improved key profile for the English lock and suitable cylinder locks, which has a simple design, which is resistant to mechanical loads and provides more reliable protection from opening.
