FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for separation of a gas-liquid mixture. A centrifugal separator contains a case of the centrifugal separator with a wall of the case of the centrifugal separator. The case of the centrifugal separator contains cylindrical section (2) and conical section (3), gas removal hole (6) located at an upper end of the case of the centrifugal separator, and liquid outlet (7) located at a lower end of the case of the centrifugal separator, inlet (8) for a gas-liquid mixture, located in cylindrical section (2) of the case. A detection means intended for determination of a thickness of a liquid layer on the wall of the case of the centrifugal separator is located in cylindrical section (2). A method for continuous tracking a flow passing through such a centrifugal separator is also claimed.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurement of flow parameters.
