FIELD: photopolymerization initiators.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing 2,2-dibutoxyacetophenone, which is used as an effective photopolymerization initiator. The method consists in the fact that [1-(dibutoxymethyl)vinyl]benzene is oxidized with ozone in methylene chloride at a temperature of -50°C, followed by treatment with dimethyl sulfide.
EFFECT: obtaining the target product with a high yield.
