SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for regulating hydroformylation processes to obtain normal (N) and iso (I) aldehydes at a certain N:I ratio. In one aspect, a method for controlling a hydroformylation process comprises contacting an olefin with carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and a catalyst containing (A) a transition metal, (B) a monophosphine, and (C) a tetraphosphine having the structure described herein. Said bringing into contact is carried out in one or more reaction zones and under hydroformylation conditions to obtain a mixture of normal (N) and iso (I) aldehydes in the ratio N:I; the proposed method includes at least one of increasing the ratio by adding additional tetraphosphine to the reaction zone; reducing the N:I ratio by adding more monophosphine to the reaction zone; or increasing the N:I ratio by evaporating the free monophosphine.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to effectively adjust the ratio of N:I in a wide range.
