FIELD: vehicles electric traction systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric traction systems of vehicles. The electric locomotive drive contains a traction transformer, traction motors containing bypass means, shunt excitation windings of traction motors, rectifier-inverter converters feeding traction motors, and individual rectifier excitation units feeding bypass means. In this case, the bypass means are individual transistor controlled excitation converters.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of individual, continuous and smooth control of the excitation currents of the traction electric motors of the electric locomotive.
