FIELD: casting production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of casting production; it can be used in the manufacture of multilayer shell molds for the manufacture of metal casts by melted models. A cast multilayer shell mold for the manufacture of metal casts by melted models contains thin-wall facing, inner intermediate, and outer layers. Between intermediate contacting layers of the shell mold, coating of dissolved film-forming substance in a solvent is applied, a thickness of which is less than a thickness of each of shell layers. After application of the solution of film-forming substance, the solvent is evaporated, and a surface of the shell mold is coated with solid thin film of film-forming substance. During calcination, film-forming substance forming a microlayer is burned, and an air gap is formed between intermediate contacting layers, preventing distribution of cracks in the shell mold.
EFFECT: increase in crack resistance of a shell mold is provided.
