METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF PROLONGED COURSE OF INTESTINAL INFECTION OF CAMPYLOBACTER ETIOLOGY IN YOUNG CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61K35/744 A61P1/00

Abstract RU 2788397 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to infectious diseases and pediatrics, and can be used in young children for the treatment of intestinal infection of campylobacter etiology, which has a prolonged course. In the period of early recovery of the disease, while diarrhea, abdominal pain and the release of the pathogen remain, children aged 3 months to 1 year are prescribed a liquid auto-probiotic product based on the Enterococcus faecium auto-strain in the form of a starter culture with a titer of 109 colony-forming units in 1 ml for at least 10 days after morning and afternoon meals in a single dose of 5 ml, and children aged 1 to 3 years in a single dose of 10 ml.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of therapy for a prolonged course of intestinal infection in young children due to a significant improvement in the state of the intestinal microbiota under the influence of the complex use of a liquid auto-probiotic product based on Enterococcus faecium auto-strain and diet therapy, contributing to the stimulation of the immune response and activation of reparative processes after antibiotic therapy of invasive forms of campylobacteriosis.
