FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in production of high-grade ferrosilicon grades. Prior to discharge of molten ferrosilicon from furnace to ladle there loaded is oxidizing flux with basicity of 0.15–0.24 and with multiplicity of 0.12–0.18 and simultaneously with outlet, melt is blown with mixture of oxygen and compressed air, maintaining oxygen-compressed air ratio of 1:(1–3) and consumption of oxidizing gas (in terms of oxygen) of 12–30 nm3/t of molten ferrosilicon.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce content of aluminum, calcium and carbon in alloy without considerable energy costs for melt refining.
