FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for preparing butene-2-diol-1,4 by hydrogenation of butene-2-diol-1,4. Hydrogenation is carried out with molecular hydrogen in the presence of a palladium catalyst in a liquid dispersion medium. In this case, Pd-P nanoparticles formed from palladium bis (acetylacetonate) and white phosphorus injected before the Pd(acac)2 reduction stage with hydrogen taken at atomic ratios of components, respectively: palladium bis(acetylacetonate) / phosphorus = 1:0.3 to 1:1.0, in N,N-dimethylformamide, are used as a catalyst. The hydrogenation process is carried out at 30-50°C and hydrogen pressure of 2 atm.
EFFECT: increase in the hydrogenation efficiency of butene-2-diol-1,4 during the reaction under mild conditions due to the use of a highly active catalyst.
