SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the field of maintenance of the superstructure of a railway track, in particular to devices for distributing ballast under sleepers, as well as methods for leveling the level of rail lashes by distributing ballast under a sleeper. The device contains a shell with many holes. The shell is filled with ballast. Ballast can flow out of the shell under the action of external pressure. The dimensions of the shell openings are not less than the minimum size of the ballast fraction. The ballast enters the ballast layer under pressure on the shell from the rolling stock.
