SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to a method for the preparation of an impression-cytological micro-preparation, using a combined clarifying solution. The method for the preparation of an impression-cytological micro-preparation, using a combined clarifying solution, includes sampling of cell material from the corneal surface, using a diagnostic acetate-cellulose applicator with a pore diameter of 0.45-0.47 mcm, fixation of cells in 96% solution of ethyl alcohol for 5 minutes, flushing in distilled water for 1 minute, coloring with cell dyes, and chemical clarification of the diagnostic applicator. For sampling of cell material, an adapted diagnostic acetate-cellulose disc is used, consisting of 4 mutually perpendicular “lobes” formed with 4 cuts from an edge to a paracentral zone and a mark located on an upper “lob”, in the form of a small triangular section cut from its edge. At the same time, for chemical clarification of the adapted diagnostic acetate-cellulose disc, a combined clarifying solution is used, having a strict concentration ratio of pure ortho-xylol – 3 parts and pure isopropyl alcohol – 1 part and including Canada turpentine with a concentration equal to 0.5 part of isopropyl alcohol.

EFFECT: above-described method allows for reduction in time of preparation of an impression-cytological micro-preparation, improvement of the quality of its subsequent light microscopy, reduction in the probability of loss of optical transparence, when extracting a diagnostic acetate-cellulose disc from the proposed clarifying solution, increase in a term of preservation of transparence of the impression-cytological micro-preparation.
