FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to diagnose breast cancer (BC) by the level of methylation of the ZNF177 and CCDC181 genes in small tumors. Tumors are differentiated from normal tissues and fibroadenomas according to the formula P=1/(1+e-z), where z=-20.27-0.324*X1-0.633*X2. In this case, X1 is the average value of the methylation level of six CpG sites of the CCDC181 gene located on chromosome 1: 169460654, 169460652, 169460624, 169460616, 169460609, 169460587 according to the assembly GRCh38.p14; X2 - the average value of the methylation level of seven CpG sites of the ZNF177 gene located on chromosome 19: 9362992, 9362998, 9363008, 9363012, 9363015, 9363020, 9363039 according to the assembly GRCh38.p14. If P<0.582, then the sample is defined as breast cancer.
EFFECT: method allows to verify breast cancer with high diagnostic accuracy by the level of methylation of the CpG sites of the ZNF177 and CCDC181 genes in small tumors.
