FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric traction systems of vehicles. System for controlling traction motors of a locomotive with axial tractive force control, wherein the voltage on each traction motor is adjusted with account to the air pressure control error in the collection chamber, said error being determined by the microprocessor control system as the difference between the set and current cooling air pressure. During the operation of the traction electric drive, the air pressure is constantly monitored in the collection chambers of all traction motors, and when the pressure in the collection chamber of any traction motor drops below the set value, the current in the windings thereof decreases due to the reduction in the voltage at the input thereof, and the voltage increases on other traction motors.
EFFECT: higher reliability of traction motors due to the fact that the load on the traction motor corresponds to the cooling mode thereof.
