SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fishing industry, in particular to methods for isolating fat-soluble carotenoids. A method is proposed for obtaining xanthophylls from sea brown algae: Undaria pinnatifida and Sargassum miyabei or Undaria pinnatifida and Costaria costata or Sargassum miyabei and Costaria costata at a mass ratio of 1:1, including the extraction of brown algae raw material with a mixture of 60% aqueous solution of glycerol with acetic and benzoic in a ratio of 1000 ml: 0.3 ml: 0.1 mg, respectively, with a ratio of raw material: extractant 1 kg: 2-2.5 l for 8 hours, then the extract is combined with a mixture of olive oil with soybean or sunflower oil at a ratio of volume 40-45:55-60, and the ratio by volume extract : mixture of oils is 1:1-1.2 and re-extraction is carried out for 8 hours at 22-24°C.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of extracting xanthophylls from marine brown algae, increased stability of xanthophylls during production and storage.
