SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing L-homoserine. Method involves the stage of bringing an L-homoserine derivative represented by the Formula 1 into contact with water and a solid acid catalyst. In the Formula 1, R1 constitutes Ra-(C=O)-, Ra constitutes a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group with 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group with 6 to 20 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group with 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and the substituents of the alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, cycloalkyl group, aryl group, and heteroaryl group each independently constitute a halogen, a carboxyl group (-COON), an acetyl group (-COON3), an amino group (-NH2), a nitro group (-NO2), a cyano group (-CN), an alkyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an aryl group with 6 to 10 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl group with 3 to 10 carbon atoms.

EFFECT: possibility of producing highly pure L-homoserine with a high degree of extraction.
