FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, namely to veterinary surgery. A method for obtaining platelet-rich plasma from the blood of animals selected from cats or dogs of dwarf breeds includes taking and centrifuging blood in a sterile 1.0 ml insulin syringe with 0.05 ml of 3.8% sodium citrate, while centrifugation is carried out in disposable insulin syringe, at n equal to 3000 rpm for 1 min, then at n equal to 1000 rpm for 10 min.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to isolate platelet-rich plasma from small volumes of blood with the least amount of time.
