FIELD: material processing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to protective coating based on polyurethane, namely to protective coatings applied to increase a service life of steel products and products of carbon fiber, when operating under extreme conditions. Protective coating is a two-component polyurethane system including components A and B. The component A of the polyurethane system consists of prepolymer based on polyester and toluene diisocyanate, and technical carbon, which is fine-dispersed powder, moisture content in which is no more than 3% of the weight. The component B consists of an amine hardener of urethane polymers, liquid low-molecular polyethylene glycol, and diethyl toluene diamine. Components A and B are mixed by quantitative transfer of the component B to the component A at a ratio of 1:5. Protective coating is applied to the surface by a spraying method.
EFFECT: obtained protective coatings allow for an increase in a service life of steel products and products of carbon fiber, as well as increase in convenience of application to obtain coating uniform by thickness; protective coatings have Shore A hardness of 80, tensile strength of 30 MPa, and elongation at break of 500%, in addition, when diluted with a solvent, the composition does not lose properties, and it can be applied by a sprayer.
