FIELD: agriculture; plant growing; plant selection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, plant growing, and plant selection; it can be used for determination of grain crop varieties the most resistant to stress, as well as in selection work. In the method, grain crop seeds are germinated for assessment of their resistance to ethylene stress. Seed germination is performed in thermostat for 7 days, in filtering paper rolls. Ethylene concentrations in the air for the entire germination period are 1.0-5.0 mg/m3. A sprout length and the total length of germinal roots are also measured in seedlings.
EFFECT: method provides achievement of stable productivity of grain crops with unfavorable weather and phyto-sanitary vegetation conditions.
