FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be implemented when performing excavation and loading operations at quarries without preliminary loosening of rocks with a compressive strength of up to 120 MPa. The method for open-pit mining of mineral deposits includes the use of surface miners for the production of excavation and loading operations. A technological scheme is created for moving the surface miner within the working horizon, namely: the axes of movement in the forward and reverse directions are parallel and spaced by a width equal to the width of the cut layer. The involvement of the entire volume of rock mass in mining is ensured without its preliminary separation into overburden and mineral. The speed of the conveyor belt is regulated by changing the speed of the drive motor of the unloading console when loading dump trucks, during their loading shift without stopping mining operations, providing layer-by-layer excavation of rocks with determination of the actual content of the useful component on the conveyor belt by a discrete express analyzer.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the productivity of the quarry, providing layer-by-layer excavation of rocks, minimizing downtime of mining equipment, reducing operating costs of mining enterprises.
