SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal powder for the manufacture of steel parts by additive manufacturing. The metal powder contains the following elements in wt.%: 0.01 ≤ C ≤ 0.2, 4.6 ≤ Ti ≤ 10, (0.45 × Тi) - 0.22 ≤ B ≤ (0.45 × Ti) + 0.70, S ≤ 0.03, P ≤ 0.04, N ≤ 0.05, О ≤ 0.05 and may also contain: Si ≤ 1.5, Mn ≤ 3, Аl ≤ 1.5, Ni ≤ 1, Mo ≤ 1, Cr ≤ 3, Cu ≤ 1, Nb ≤ 0.1, V ≤ 0.5, and contains allocations of TiB2 and FeB, the rest is Fe and the inevitable impurities resulting from processing. The amount of TiB2 is equal to or more than 10% by volume, and the average bulk density of the powder is 7.50 g/cm3 or less.

EFFECT: production of steel parts by additive manufacturing with low density, high values of the modulus of elasticity and tensile strength.
