FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely oncology, and can be used to determine pseudo-vessels formed by macrophages in choroid melanomas during a lifetime pathologic-anatomical examination. An immunohistochemical examination of the tumor using antibodies to CD 68 and a histochemical study using a PAS reaction are carried out. In the case of detection of CD 68 expression by immunohistochemical examination and staining of micro-preparation sites with red-pink color during the PAS reaction, pseudo-vessels formed by macrophages in choroid melanomas are determined.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reliably identify pseudo-vessels in choroid melanoma formed by macrophages and differentiate these pseudo-vessels with true tumor blood vessels and with pseudo-vessels formed by melanoma tumor cells during vascular mimicry by detecting CD 68 expression by immunohistochemical examination and staining areas of the micro-preparation with red-pink color during the PAS reaction.
