FIELD: agriculture machinery.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used to strengthen the wear surfaces of the working bodies of agricultural machines with wear-resistant alloys. A method for induction surfacing of iron-based magnetic alloys includes applying a charge of a magnetic alloy in the form of a powder onto a strengthened surface of a workpiece and its subsequent melting by a high-frequency field of an inductor. The induction channel furnace for surfacing contains a cylindrical inductor (2) with two heating zones. The first heating zone (1) has a diameter of a cylindrical inductor greater than the diameter of the second zone (6) inductor. There is a hollow graphite core (5) inside the inductor of the first zone. The billet with the applied mixture is placed in a graphite core in the first zone (1) and heated to a temperature of 770-790°C with the absorption of a high-frequency magnetic field by a graphite core, which ensures the demagnetization of the magnetic alloy charge. Then the billet with the charge is moved to the second zone (6) of the furnace, where the charge is melted.
EFFECT: use of powders from iron-based magnetic alloys for induction surfacing due to the exclusion of their dropping from the strengthened surface of the workpiece.
