SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for non-destructive testing and detection of surface and subsurface defects in the aerospace industry, nuclear power, automotive and shipbuilding. It also can be used for ultrasonic infrared thermography. It also can be used for ultrasonic infrared thermography. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the device for ultrasonic infrared thermography consists of an acoustic non-contact source directed at the test item, consisting of a generator, a power amplifier, as well as an acoustic radiating system and a non-contact thermal imaging camera directed at the test item from the side from which acoustic stimulation takes place, a computer with an image data acquisition system, while the acoustic emitting system is made in the form of a mesodimensional cuboid plate acoustic lens with a rib size of at least λ, where λ is a wavelength of radiation in the surrounding space of the lens, composed of a lattice of parallel V-shaped plates with a full opening angle α in the range of more than 65 and less than 120 degrees, with a distance between the plates not exceeding λ/2 and creating an area of increased intensity of the acoustic field on the test item with a length from the shadow surface of the lens to 5λ and with a subwavelength transverse size.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of subwavelength focusing of acoustic radiation on the test item, reducing uneven heating of the surface in the area of acoustic stimulation of the test item, simplifying the device for acoustic infrared thermography.
