METHOD FOR TREATING ENDOCRINE OPHTHALMOPATHY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61F9/00 A61N2/00 A61K31/573 A61P27/02

Abstract RU 2791648 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to endocrinology, ophthalmology and physiotherapy, and may be used for the treatment of endocrine ophthalmopathy. Magnetic therapy is carried out by transcranial exposure to a running magnetic field through two terminals of different polarity located bitemporally towards each other. In this case, the magnetic field is scanned simultaneously from both sides in the direction from the temporal to the occipital region. Immediately before magnetic therapy, local administration of corticosteroids is performed by laying hydrocortisone ointment in the conjunctival sac. Magnetotherapy is carried out by alternating transcranial exposure and orbital exposure every other day with the rotation of the magnetic field around the optical axis of the eyes. The following exposure parameters are set: the induction of the magnetic field of the emitters is 20-50 mT, the scanning frequency is 1-100 Hz with its gradual uniform increase in this range for 10 procedures from the beginning of the course to the end with an exposure time of 8-10 minutes.

EFFECT: improving the effectiveness of the treatment of the disease while reducing its duration due to the synergy of central and local effects through the use of different types of magnetic therapy in combination with drug therapy.
