SUBSTANCE: use of Pediococcus inopinatus bacteria, their culture, lysate, pulverized product, or extract as an active component of a food composition, a pharmaceutical composition, or a fodder additive is proposed for improvement of memory, cognitive function, muscular strength, or motor ability. A method for the treatment of a neurodegenerative disease is proposed, including administration of therapeutically effective amount of Pediococcus inopinatus bacteria, their culture, lysate, pulverized product, or extract to a subject who needs it.
EFFECT: inventions provide improvement of ataxia in an animal model of Parkinson disease, and they can be used for prevention, relief of symptoms, and treatment of different neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson disease.
