SUBSTANCE: method and a packaging machine for creating packages from a continuous film. According to the method, among other things, the quality of the seams formed during the creation of film packages is verified. The chamber is sealed around the area of the film sleeve containing the work area, a cross section and a transverse seam on each side of the cross section are created in the specified work area. To verify, the pressure in the chamber is lowered, the property of the fluid located in the chamber or in the part of the hose located in the chamber is determined, and depending on the specified determination, the quality of at least one of the seams located in the chamber is determined.
EFFECT: invention provides high efficiency during use.
