FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the creation and modernization of means for identifying air target. In the claimed method, the final decision on the identification feature of each detected air target is formed based on a comparison of the general criterion parameter with the corresponding threshold, which is the relative frequency of particular decisions “the target is not an addressee of the data exchange system” for the identification period and its allowable value, respectively. In this case, the threshold for the general criterion parameter is set taking into account the available information about destabilizing factors in the air target identification area. This allows to reduce the negative impact of cases of a significant deviation of the estimated coordinates of detected targets formed using the radar from similar estimates of their coordinates received via the data exchange channel and, as a result, to increase the reliability of identifying air targets in general under the influence of destabilizing factors.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of identification of air targets.
