FIELD: safety in oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed round roof for a reservoir with oil products, made in the form of a solid disc made of low-density artificial material, including a cement-sand mixture with aluminium powder mixed in it, on the outer surface of which radially located blind conical holes are made, designed for uniform destruction and fracture of the disc into individual sectors under the influence of hazardous factors of fire of flammable liquids. In this case, the tops of the cones are facing the lower surface of the roof, and the sectors formed during the fracture are intended for drowning. In addition, the roof contains cavities with fire-extinguishing powder, made in the thickness of the disc along the probable fault line between the said conical holes located radially. And between the probable fault lines on the lower surface of the disk, weighting agents are fixed, designed to move the sectors formed during the fracture of the disk to the bottom of the reservoir more quickly. In this case, the weighting agents are located diametrically at a distance equidistant from the geometric centre of the roof, not exceeding half the radius of the disk.
EFFECT: destruction of the roof of the reservoir and the release of the fire extinguishing agent, ensuring a relatively low inertia of lowering the broken sections of the roof to the bottom of the reservoir.
