FIELD: air traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control the air situation, detect aircraft and meteorological objects. Method is proposed for obtaining information about meteorological objects in primary radars, which consists of using the main radar antenna with circular polarization when emitting probing signals and receiving signals reflected from aircraft, stationary local objects and meteorological objects, while using an additional channel for receiving and processing reflected signals with an additional antenna with linear, elliptical or circular polarization with the direction of rotation of the electric field vector opposite to the direction of rotation of the electric field vector of the main antenna.
EFFECT: increase of reliability of detection and measurement of the parameters of movement of aircraft and meteorological objects.
