FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to the field of innovative cigarette technology, in particular to a heating unit for heating the smoking mixture and an aerosol-generating device equipped with this unit. The heating unit for heating the smoking mixture includes a resistive heating element for converting electrical energy into internal energy. The resistive heating element is provided with the first electrically insulating substrate inside and/or outside. An infrared layer is applied to the surface of the first electrically insulating substrate and/or resistive heating element to emit infrared rays outward after heating. The specified heating unit is used in an aerosol-generating device. The aerosol-generating device includes a housing in which there is a receiver for placing the smoking mixture in it, a heating unit and a power source for supplying power to the heating unit. The resistive heating element, the first electrically insulating substrate and the infrared layer of the heating unit are all placed together inside the receiver for the smoking mixture.
EFFECT: increase in heating efficiency and a reduction in energy consumption, thereby increasing the power source battery life.
