SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical aerosol generating systems, in particular to electrical aerosol generating systems having an aerosol generating device and a case for the aerosol generating device. The case for an aerosol generating device contains a casing, a holder for placing a part of an aerosol generating device, wherein the holder is movably connected to the casing and movable relative to the casing between an open position for accommodating an aerosol generating device and a closed position for storing an aerosol generating device, and a holder position detector, configured to determine whether the holder is in the open position or in the closed position, and the holder position detector contains a circuit configured to determine the position of the holder relative to the casing. The case additionally contains a power supply; an electrical connector configured to electrically connect the power supply to the aerosol generating device placed in the holder; and a power supply control circuit configured to control the power supply from the power source to the aerosol generating device housed in the holder and connected to the electrical connector.

EFFECT: it is possible to track the use of the aerosol generating device using the case.
