FIELD: aerosol generating systems.
SUBSTANCE: device includes a storage tank containing a supply of liquid substrate forming an aerosol, a heating element located at a distance from the tank configured to evaporate the liquid substrate forming an aerosol, a transfer element located between the storage tank and the heating element configured to obtain and hold a liquid substrate, forming an aerosol from the storage tank and is configured to be operably connected to the heating element to supply liquid substrate to the heating element. The transfer element is movable by itself along the liquid supply path between the loading position and the heating position independently of the storage tank. When the transfer element is in the loading position, it is in fluid communication with the outlet of the storage tank, or with the outlet of the storage tank and the heating element. When the transfer element is in the heating position, the transfer element is in fluid communication with the heating element and the heating element is activated to vaporize the aerosol forming liquid substrate. The transfer element and the heating element are aligned in the longitudinal direction, and the longitudinal distance between them in the loading position is greater than the longitudinal distance in the heating position. Or the transfer element and the heating element are arranged concentrically, and the radial distance between them at the loading position is greater than the radial distance at the heating position.
EFFECT: heating due to convection and evaporation is prevented, the properties and quality of the liquid substrate stock are preserved, and energy efficiency is improved.
