FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol generation device and a method for generation of nicotine-containing aerosol. An aerosol generation device is proposed, containing: a heater assembly containing at least one heating element, aerosol forming substrate located near the heater assembly. Aerosol forming substrate contains a liquid mixture containing nicotine and the first substance for aerosol formation. The first substance for aerosol formation has a boiling point higher than that of nicotine. The device contains a power supply source for supply of power to the heater assembly for generation of aerosol from aerosol forming substrate. The device also contains a mouthpiece, on which a user performs puffs for pulling aerosol out of the aerosol generation device. The device contains a control circuit made with the possibility of control of power supply to the heater assembly, which is made with the possibility of supply of the first power to at least one heating element of the heater assembly or supply of power sufficient for maintenance of at least one heating element of the heater assembly at the first temperature or in the first temperature range between puffs performed by the user, and is made with the possibility of supply of the second power to at least one heating element of the heater assembly, while the second power is higher than the first power or is sufficient for an increase in a temperature of at least one heating element of the heater assembly above the first temperature or the first temperature range during puffs performed by the user, for preferred evaporation of nicotine compared to the first substance for formation of aerosol. In the proposed invention, aerosol forming substrate is heated by the heating element both during puffs and between puffs performed by the user.

EFFECT: heating of aerosol forming substrate between puffs performed by a user contributes to preferred evaporation of nicotine.
