FIELD: aerosol generating systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to smoking accessories and in particular to aerosol generation systems. The aerosol generation system consists of a cartridge that includes a cartridge body, a solid aerosol forming substrate located in the cartridge body, and a liquid aerosol forming substrate located in the cartridge body, an aerosol generating device. The aerosol generating device consists of a cavity for housing at least a portion of the cartridge. The cartridge can be inserted in the cavity along the first direction. Also, the aerosol generating device includes a liquid transferring element extending from the end wall of the cavity, the liquid transferring element having a longitudinal axis extending substantially parallel to the first direction. The aerosol generating device includes an electrical heater having a resistive heating coil wrapped around a part of the fluid transfer element. The resistive heating coil is wrapped around the longitudinal axis of the fluid transfer element. The aerosol generating device also includes a power supply unit and a controller for controlling power supply from the power supply unit to the electrical heater. The aerosol generating system is configured in such a way so that a portion of the fluid transfer element is in contact with the aerosol-forming fluid substrate when the cartridge is positioned in the cavity.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at simplifying the design of the aerosol generation system.
