SUBSTANCE: method for producing low-temperature gas in a gas generator on a solid gas-generating substance. The method includes controlled thermal decomposition of a solid gas-generating substance incapable of self-combustion under the influence of heat release from electric heating elements placed in the gas-generating element. At the same time, the gas flow recorded by the sensor installed at the outlet of the gas generator is monitored by controlling the thermal decomposition of the solid gas-generating substance, based on the regulation of the power supplied from the power source to the heating elements, or the regulation of the number of active heating elements.

EFFECT: regulation up to the termination of hot gas release from a porous gas-permeable gas-generating element.
