FIELD: plant biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for mass production of Paulownia tomentosa quality planting material. The resulting plants can be used as a source of a whole range of useful properties, such as: valuable wood, aromatic properties of flowers, industrial use of seeds and vegetative mass. The invention is a method of propagating Paulownia tomentosa by in vitro culture, including isolating apical and lateral buds, sterilization, planting on nutrient media, propagating microshoots, their subsequent rooting, and adapting regenerated plants to ex vitro conditions. After adaptation to non-sterile conditions and growing, standard paulownia seedlings with a closed root system are obtained. The proposed method of paulownia clonal micropropagation makes it possible to obtain a high multiplication factor and, as a result, the required number of aligned high-quality seedlings.

EFFECT: planting material is genetically homogeneous, the period of cultivation is reduced and the possibility of carrying out work throughout the year is provided.
