FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: coated particle that binds to, attaches or connects to the surface of the oral cavity, and its use are claimed. The particle contains a substrate, which is a particle or nanoparticle derived from a copolymer of lactic and glycolic acids (PLGA), and a coating covalently associated with the substrate, which is ethyl lauroyl arginate hydrochloride. The particle may further contain an active ingredient.
EFFECT: introduction into the oral cavity of the coated particle provides a beneficial effect on the oral cavity.
