FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: to determine magnetic properties of the material, a target made of the material under study is placed in a given region of space, and a magnetic field with specified properties is created, the field lines of which have a component parallel to the target surface. The target surface is heated to a temperature at which at least partial melting of said material occurs. An impact is made on the heated target surface, as a result of which particles of the said material fly out and settle on the target surface. The distribution pattern of material particles on the target surface is fixed and compared with the distribution patterns of particles of background materials on the surfaces of targets with identical geometric characteristics, obtained in a given region of space under the action of a magnetic field with identical properties.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the magnetic properties of the material, reducing the complexity of determining the magnetic properties.
