FIELD: engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create ice crossings in water areas with under-ice flow. The way to create an ice crossing is to create stiffeners on the lower surface of the ice cover along the direction of the crossing. They are created by changing the speed of the under-ice flow under the crossing. To do this, through holes 3 are prepared on both sides of the axis 2 of the crossing, through which plates 5 with a cylindrical shape of curvature are lowered under the ice and then fixed. The forming surfaces of the plates 5 in the longitudinal direction are perpendicular to the velocity vector of the oncoming flow, and in the transverse direction they reproduce the channel, the profile of which has a narrowing to change the speed of the flow moving along it. A change in velocities will lead to a change in the thickness of the emerging ice cover, i.e., to the appearance of stiffeners on its surface.
EFFECT: increasing the cylindrical rigidity of the ice plate, i.e., bearing capacity of the ice crossing.
