FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: abrasive treatment of internal surfaces of workpieces such as bodies of revolution. The horizontal arrangement of the axis of the treated surface of the workpiece and rotation of the workpiece with an internal cavity partially filled with abrasive material are carried out. A fixed structural element is placed in the inner cavity of the workpiece. The workpiece is rotated ensuring an equal gap between the machined surface of the rotating workpiece and the fixed structural element, the shape and location of which during the rotation of the workpiece ensure the formation of an area filled with abrasive grains between the machined surface of the workpiece and the fixed structural element. Processing is carried out with an unbound abrasive, and the speed of rotation of the workpiece is set based on the condition of ensuring the process of microcutting the workpiece surface to be treated with abrasive grains.
EFFECT: quality and productivity of abrasive treatment of the internal surfaces of workpieces such as bodies of revolution are improved.
