SUBSTANCE: systems, devices and methods are claimed for this, including: a cable (102), a housing (120, 122, 304, 306) with a conical outlet (110) connected to the internal volume (116), a cone seal (112), with a conical outer surface (134) and an inner hole (128), said cable is placed in the inner hole of the cone seal; sealant (118) located in the internal volume and around one or more wires of the cable; a crimp cap is (114) fitted over the cone and around the body flange (138) to press the cone into the cone outlet; wherein the compressive pressure from the crimp cap forces the sealant into the interior of the cable insulation and into the space (606) around the cable wires, the sealant preventing capillary transport of moisture along the cable wires, while curing the sealant protects the cable from moisture ingress.
EFFECT: improved quality of cable sealing.
