FIELD: medicine; surgical dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in assessing the prediction of rejection of dental implants. On the 3rd day after the operation, the patient is assessed the degree of saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen in the venous blood of the tissues in the area of the surgical wound by somatic oximetry by applying electrodes to the cheek in the projection of the postoperative wound. After 20–30 seconds, the values of the degree of saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen in venous blood in% (SvO2%) are recorded. If the index value is higher than 75%, the possibility of implant rejection is predicted, and if the value is less than 65%, inflammation in the area of the surgical wound is predicted.
EFFECT: by determining the degree of oxygenation of the tissues of the oral cavity the method makes it possible to predict the possibility of rejection of implants or the development of inflammation in the area of the surgical wound.
