SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the purification of lacto-N-neotetraose to obtain nutritional products for infants. Disclosed is a process for purifying lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT) from a fermentation broth, which includes the steps of: taking a fermentation broth that contains LNnT, biomass, media components, contaminants, and carbohydrates other than LNnT; subjecting the fermentation broth to at least one stage of membrane filtration using nanofiltration membranes, thereby obtaining a filtered solution containing LNnT; subjecting the filtered solution to at least one stage of pseudo-moving bed chromatography, thereby obtaining a purified solution that contains LNnT; subjecting the purified solution to at least one stage of crystallization from water, thus obtaining a crystalline mass; and subjecting such a crystalline mass to at least one homogenization step, thereby obtaining a homogenized and dried purified LNnT product; wherein the purified preparation contains LNnT with a purity of 80% or more.
EFFECT: invention provides effective purification of lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT) removing the fermentation broth, thus obtaining highly purified LNnT powder.
