SUBSTANCE: proposed nutritional composition contains a spray-dried powder containing at least 80 wt.% lacto-N-fucopentaose alone, which was obtained through microbial fermentation. The spray-dried powder contains 15 wt.% of water or less. The nutritional composition contains at least one additional breast milk oligosaccharide (HMO), where the said at least one additional HMO is a sialylated HMO. A method of producing spray-dried lacto-N-fucopentaose powder for the said nutritional composition is also provided. The method includes purifying lacto-N-fucopentaose from a fermentation broth, providing an aqueous solution containing lacto-N-fucopentaose purified from the fermentation broth, and subjecting the said solution to spray drying.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining lacto-N-fucopentaose in solid form with the same average particle size.
