FIELD: nutritional compositions.
SUBSTANCE: proposed nutritional composition contains a spray-dried powder with at least 80 wt.% of lacto-N-tetraose (LNT) and/or lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT). Moreover, lacto-N-tetraose (LNT) and/or lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT) are obtained through microbial fermentation. The spray-dried powder contains 15 wt.% of water or less. The nutritional composition contains at least one additional human milk oligosaccharide (HMO). The said at least one additional OGM is a sialylated OGM. Also the following is provided: a method of producing spray-dried powder of lacto-N-tetraose (LNT) and/or lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT) for a nutritional composition. The method includes purifying LNT and/or LNnT from the fermentation broth; providing an aqueous solution containing LNT and/or LNnT and subjecting the resulting solution to spray drying.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining lacto-N-tetraose (LNT) and/or lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT) in solid form with the same average particle size.
