FIELD: railway vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: on-board means of a switching locomotive for detecting obstacles in the way of its movement. Detection unit contains modules (1) and (2) of the upper sensors, modules (3) and (4) of the lower sensors, two computers (5) and (6) interacting and checking each other's performance based on an industrial computer, each of which is connected to on-board power supply network of the locomotive through the corresponding converter (7) and (8), navigation module (9), ultrasonic sensors (10) installed on each side of the switching locomotive, and two signal processing modules (11) and (12) associated with them, each of which is located in the corresponding console breakout box. Each module (1) and (2) of the upper sensors includes two machine vision cameras, an IP dead zone monitoring camera, a lidar and a thermal imager installed in a dust and moisture-proof switching box with attachment points for each of them, which also contains the antenna of the navigation module (9). Each module (3) and (4) of the lower sensors includes a lidar placed in a console switching box, closed by a protective casing.
EFFECT: increase in coverage areas and reliability of obstacle detection is achieved.
