FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing N,N-dimethyl-4-biphenylamine and its derivatives of the General formula (R1)Ph-Ph(R2)-N(CH3)2, where R1-H, n-SOOSH3, R2-H, o-CH3. The method is the interaction of N,N-dimethylaminophenyldiazenilaryl of the general formula (R1)Ph-N=N-Ph(R2)-N(CH3)2, where R1 is H, n-COOCH3, R2 is H, o-CH3, tetracyanoethylene and methanol under the action of ultrasound at a frequency of 90–100 Hz and a temperature of 35-40°C.
EFFECT: use of affordable inexpensive reagents, the absence of catalysts and bases, one-stage and reduced reaction time.
