FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining a biodegradable polymer (mycopolymer) based on the mycelium of xylotrophic basidiomycetes is proposed, including soaking a substrate from aspen sawdust or birch sawdust with brewer's grains in a ratio of 6:1 with tap water for 24 hours; then the substrate mixture is subjected to sterilization and inoculation with grain mycelium of xylotrophic basidiomycetes in compliance with sterility; overgrowth of the substrate at 26–28°C for 15–20 days. After complete overgrowth, the contents of the bags are shaken out into disinfected plastic molds for re-overgrowth at 26–28°C for 10 days.
EFFECT: ready mycopolymers are removed, turned over and covered with a mold from above for 5 days at 26-28°C with further drying of mycopolymers at 70°C. The invention provides an extension of the arsenal of methods for obtaining mycopolymers with low density and high mechanical strength.
