SUBSTANCE: environmental mapping, identifying unfavorable areas of the studied regions and differentiated assessment of the presence of natural or technogenic presence of Mo-W soil contamination. The method for diagnosing technogenic pollution of soils with metals, mainly Mo and W, includes sampling soils evenly over the area of the surveyed territory, determining the activity of the dehydrogenase enzyme and the activity of the peroxidase enzyme, determining the ratio of the activities of peroxidase and dehydrogenase, while with technogenic pollution of Mo-W, the level of soil peroxidase activity 2 times higher than that of soil dehydrogenase, in the absence of technogenic pollution at high gross concentrations of Mo and W, the level of peroxidase activity does not exceed that of dehydrogenase, and when the ratio of peroxidase and dehydrogenase activities is in the range from 1 to 2, the soil has a weak technogenic pollution.

EFFECT: establishing the reasons for the elevated level of metals - natural background or the result of human activity, providing an increase in the representativeness of the monitoring results and the possibility of regular monitoring assessment of a region that is practically unlimited in area while reducing labor costs.
