FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a hopper with a fixed casing. A removable blade grid is attached to the casing. One end of the grid has a hinged connection (4) in the form of a pin, the other end of the grid is attached to the casing by means of hinged folding screws (5). A drum is installed on a shaft in bearing units inside the casing with a removable blade grid, located and freely rotating in the recesses whereof are three rollers with a diamond-shaped notch pattern on the outer surface. Each roller is rigidly connected with the shaft by two carriers. The shaft is driven through a safety clutch (10) by a geared motor (11).

EFFECT: increase in the quality of chopping, productivity, security, and reduction in the power consumption of the process of cutting tuberous root crops.
